Losing all your vehicle keys can be a stressful and expensive experience. Many vehicle owners assume the only option is to contact a main dealer, arrange vehicle recovery and wait for replacement keys to be ordered, programmed and coded — often at considerable cost.
At Doyen Auto Services in Dumbarton, we provide specialist All Keys Lost (AKL) vehicle key programming and immobiliser services for a wide range of makes and models. Our specialist diagnostic and key-programming equipment allows us to work directly with the vehicle’s immobiliser and security systems, providing an alternative to the traditional main-dealer route where supported.
An All Keys Lost situation is significantly more complex than simply duplicating an existing key. With no functioning key available, the vehicle may require secure access to its immobiliser system, key data, security information and, on certain vehicles, the relevant ECU, BCM, BDC, FEM, UCH or other immobiliser-related module.
Depending on the vehicle, our AKL service may involve:

Where technically supported, we can often carry out the work at our Dumbarton workshop without the vehicle being recovered to a main dealer. This can save both time and the additional costs associated with dealer recovery, replacement modules and dealer-level programming.
We can also cut and supply the physical key blade where required, meaning the finished key can provide the complete solution — mechanical access, remote functions and immobiliser authorisation — rather than simply programming a transponder.
Every vehicle is different, and some newer security systems may require additional security authorisation, online access, manufacturer-specific procedures or specialist module work. We therefore diagnose the vehicle and confirm what is required before carrying out programming.
