ECU cloning is the process of copying all the data - including immobiliser codes, mileage, VIN, and calibration settings - from your old ECU to a replacement unit. This means the replacement ECU works as a perfect copy of your original, and the vehicle starts and runs without needing expensive professional-grade reprogramming.
This service is invaluable when your original ECU has failed beyond repair and you've sourced a second-hand replacement. Without cloning, a used ECU from another vehicle simply won't work in your car - the immobiliser codes won't match, and the engine won't start.
