A Stage 1 ECU remap is the most popular form of vehicle tuning we carry out at our Rutherglen workshop. It involves modifying the software on your engine control unit to optimise fuel injection timing, turbo boost pressure, and ignition maps. We run a full diagnostic scan to make sure your vehicle is in good health before we start. Any existing faults need to be resolved first for the best results.
We read and safely store your factory ECU file. This is kept on record so we can always return to stock if needed.
The modified software is written to your ECU through the OBD port. This takes around 30-60 minutes depending on the vehicle.
We take the vehicle for a test drive and run a final diagnostic check to confirm everything is operating correctly with the new map.
